Hypnobirthing
Hypnobirthing is a complete antenatal experience designed to help you approach childbirth with confidence and calm.
Through a combination of breathing techniques, deep relaxation, and visualisation, you’ll learn how to manage fear and stay in control during labour.
Alongside these practical tools, you’ll also gain a clear understanding of how your body works during birth, including the role of key muscles and hormones.
Just as importantly, you’ll explore your options within maternity care, so you feel informed, supported, and able to make the right decisions for you and your baby.
Hypnobirthing With Inner Belief: A Complete Antenatal Programme
Our structured antenatal programme is designed for both you and your birthing partner.
The course takes place across three Monday evening sessions (6 pm - 9 pm) in Newport, giving you time to build knowledge, practise techniques, and feel fully prepared.
Throughout the programme, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the science behind birth. You’ll learn how the womb works during labour and how hormones influence your experience.
Creating the right environment for these hormones to flow can have a real impact on how you feel during birth.
By understanding what’s happening in your body, you can feel more connected, more prepared, and more in control.

Breathing & Relaxation
Focusing on breathing techniques is an essential part of hypnobirthing as when we learn to create relaxation through breathing we signal to our brains that we are safe.
This means that all of the natural responses that we need for birth including hormones and muscle relaxation start to take effect.
Breathing also helps us to manage the different stages of labour and during hypnobirthing you learn breathing techniques to help to birth your baby.

Mindset & Affirmations
Where the mind goes the body follows.
It is important that we create a positive mindset where we believe in our abilities during pregnancy, labour and birth.
Affirmations work well for this as your mind will believe whatever you tell it and if this is positive affirmations, the effect can be very powerful.
On the hypnobirthing course, we look at how you create the mindset which works with your body positively and instinctively.

Visualisation
Visualisation is a mental technique that involves creating detailed images in your mind to achieve specific goals or outcomes.
It uses the brain’s ability to imagine scenarios as real, as it doesn’t know the difference between fiction and reality, which impacts both emotional and physical responses.
During hypnobirthing we look at how to create powerful visualisations for your pregnancy, labour and birth.

Muscles used in Birth
During the stages of labour, different muscles in the uterus are used to enable the baby to move through the birth canal and be born.
In our hypnobirthing course we explore how and why these work and what can prevent them from being used effectively.

Hormones used in Birth
Hormones play a key role in labour and birth.
During our hypnobirthing course, we learn about the hormones which are invaluable in playing a positive part, for example oxytocin and how powerful they can be.
We also look at the hormones that we don’t want as part of the labour and birth e.g. adrenaline and what we can do to prevent it from being released

Choices in Birth
Hypnobirthing empowers you with knowledge, confidence, and practical tools to make informed decisions about your birth.
It helps you understand your rights, your options, and the science behind different interventions, so you can choose what feels right for you and your baby.
Having this knowledge helps to feel calm, confident and in control throughout your pregnancy and birth.

Antenatal Classes
Hypnobirthing is so much more than just breathing techniques.
It’s a complete antenatal education that helps you feel truly prepared for birth.
You’ll learn how to use breathing, relaxation, and mindset tools to create a sense of calm and focus.
We’ll also explore how your body’s muscles and hormones work together during labour, and how understanding your options can help you make the right choices for you and your baby.
It’s all about giving you the knowledge, confidence, and support to feel in control of your birth experience.

Pregnancy & Post-natal Support
While pregnancy is often described as a joyful time, it doesn’t always feel that way – and that’s okay.
If you’re finding pregnancy difficult or feeling isolated after birth, please know you are not alone.
Postnatal depression and low mood can be overwhelming, but with gentle support through reflexology, hypnotherapy, and lived experience, we can help you.
Releasing Fear And Building Confidence With Hypnobirthing
It’s completely normal to have worries about birth. These can be conscious or sit in the background without you fully realising.
Our course creates space to address those fears in a practical and supportive way. Using gentle mind-body techniques, you’ll learn how to reduce anxiety and prevent it from shaping your birth experience.
You’ll also explore the choices available to you, from birth settings to pain relief options. Understanding these options helps you make informed decisions that feel right for you.
This is your experience, and feeling confident in your choices makes a real difference.
Understanding The Mind-Body Connection
Your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses are closely linked during labour.
During the programme, you’ll learn how to use relaxation, breathwork, and visualisation to support your body as it works. These techniques help you stay calm, focused, and grounded throughout your birth, even if plans change.
Rather than aiming for a specific type of birth, the focus is on helping you feel steady and supported in any situation.
Hypnobirthing Techniques For Every Birth
Hypnobirthing techniques can support all types of birth, including home births, hospital deliveries, and caesarean sections.
They are not about achieving a “perfect” birth. Instead, they are there to help you stay informed, calm, and in control, whatever direction your labour takes.
You’ll leave with practical tools you can rely on, not just ideas or theory.
Support For Your Birthing Partner
Your birthing partner plays an important role in your experience, and this course helps them feel confident in that role.
They’ll learn how to support you both emotionally and practically, as well as how to advocate for your choices if needed.
The programme also explains how the maternity system works, so you both feel more prepared when it comes to communicating with your care team.
This shared understanding helps you feel supported every step of the way.
Feel Prepared, Calm, And Ready For Birth
By the end of our hypnobirthing programme, you’ll have a clear understanding of how birth works and how to support your body through it.
You’ll leave with breathing and relaxation techniques you can use during labour, along with simple tools to manage fear and stay focused when it matters most.
You’ll also feel more confident in your choices, with a better understanding of your options and how to communicate them with your care team.
For your birthing partner, our course provides clear guidance on how to support you throughout labour, so you both feel prepared and on the same page.
