December 13 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
This programme is an in person event for you and your birthing partner.
This is a full antenatal programme that will take place in our clinic in Newport, South Wales. We will be located at Phoenix HQ on 13th and 14th December from 10am – 4pm.
During the antenatal programme, you’ll gain a deep understanding of the science behind birth. You’ll learn how the womb works during labour. You’ll also discover the vital role of hormones. Creating the right environment for these hormones to flow can make a big difference to your birthing experience. Understanding what’s happening in your body can help you feel more connected. It can also help you feel confident. Most importantly, it can help you feel in control.
The course focuses on addressing and releasing fears or anxieties around birth. Many people carry worries about labour and parenthood, both conscious and unconsciously. You’ll use practical tools and gentle mind-body techniques to shift these fears. This helps prevent them from interfering with your birth experience.
You’ll also explore the many choices available to you during pregnancy and birth. From different birth settings to pain relief options and everything in between. We will look at how to make informed decisions that feel right for you and your baby. This is your journey, and understanding your options will make you feel in control and confident.
The course also explores the powerful mind-body connection. Your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses are all linked during labour. You’ll discover how relaxation can support you. Breathwork can help you stay calm. Visualisation can keep you focused. These tools can support you, even if plans change.
Hypnobirthing techniques are woven throughout the course. They are shown to support all kinds of birth. This may be a home birth, a hospital delivery, or a caesarean. The methods are not designed to achieve a ‘perfect’ birth. Instead, they are intended to help you stay grounded. They are also meant to keep you informed. Most importantly, they are used to support your sense of control, whatever path your labour takes.
Your birthing partner, if you have one, plays a key role in this journey. Together, we’ll explore how they can support you both emotionally and practically. They’ll learn how to feel confident and ready to advocate for your choices. You’ll also gain insight into how the maternity system works. You’ll know what to expect from your care team and you’ll learn how to ask the right questions so you feel fully supported throughout.
By the end of the programme, you’ll feel calm, confident, and in control, with a clear understanding of birth and practical tools to support you every step of the way.
